^^ That really isn't that bad. And I guess it just depends on the person. I rarely take my hard top off.

I have a 2001 AP1 in need of a new top - any recommendations for good installers who will deal with aftermarket tops? I can't afford oem top.
My recommendation is to buy the tools and do it your self. Its not difficult just time consuming. labor will be in the 500-700 area from what ive seen from others.

...
+1 to this.

DIY linked here.

If I ever had to do this, I feel like I would just ditch the soft top and put a CR cowl in there instead...especially if you already have a hard top.

You know, I really wanted a CR cowl, they look so amazing. I just cant fork the money for it.

Plus on Silver it would look like to much silver IMO. Its another reason I didn't go with CR wing. Because I would have two toned the CR wing Black/Silver to give it a more aggressive look.
I think Honda did great choosing the colors for the CR.

Ant, I think you and I are the only ones chatting on here! haha!

I actually think it's not a bad look with silver. Having the retractable soft top is a lot more practical and convenient IMO, though.

Silver is in Fact the fastest. its proven. This is just to much silver in my opinion. needs some two tone or something.

Same here, if I had a CR tonneau I would remove the window tint to show it off. haha!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Does anyone have any recommendations for installers in the Houston area? I desperately need to replace my top. I've sewn it too many times

Thank you in advance!

I was driving past ASAA Racing the other day and was reminded of this post. If your top hasn't been replaced yet, it might be worth your time to reach out to them as one of our local members had his top replaced by them many years ago with great results.

If you're in the clear lake area, 5-star Upholstery does a good job in League City.
