Alpine CDE-9845
I'm selling this radio since it isn't compatible with the S's remote controls. I'm asking $100. The radio was only used about 4 months in a Honda Prelude which I only had for 6 months. Since then, it has been sitting in the box on a shelf in my closet. I look at the modfry adapters but the radio doesn't support any type of remote controls. Instead of losing the remote control features, I've decided to just sell the radio and replace it with one with a remote, hopefully for Christmas. (Just in case Santa is reading this, I also want an Xbox 360 but I digress).

I'm not an audiophile meaning I'm not technical. If you ask me questions about it, I'll do my best to answer them but you may be better asking Alpine or Google. I have the box and Styrofoam but not the original manual (I downloaded the PDF from Alpine though - link to manual).
Features (taken from http://caraudioreview.blogspot.com/2005_02...w_archive.html)
Alpine's CDE-9845 CD receiver plays MP3s and WMAs discs! Alpine's Quick Search function lets you navigate through your folders and files speedily.

I'm interested, tired of the CD player in my Miata skipping over every bump, let me do some research and see what it takes to make this work.

I can't browse eBay from work so I'm not sure if the asking price is high or not. I paid a little over $200 for it new. I'll check eBay tonight to see if my price is fair. If I'm low, I wont raise my asking price but if I'm high, I may consider lowering the price.

Cosmos, just get a kit from crutchfield to install it ($40-60). I wired the front channels from the harness they provide to the door speakers and tweeters and the rear channels to the head rest speakers and the bass shakers. It worked fine, but not as much punch from the shakers as the 6 channel amp of the stock stereo.

Maybe I can run my 4 channel external amp bridged to the bass shakers and let the HU power the speakers. Are you volunteering yourself for this project?
