Default Is College Station Texas consid'd North Texas ?
Hi all,

I have my sister attending a conference and she said the town was College Station ? I said I'd check it out with the locals before hand.

It's closer to Houston (100 miles) than Dallas (200 miles), and that puts it in 'Central' Texas. It's also home to the state's best university.

If we had a choice, College Station wouldn't be part of Texas at all.

I've always considered CS to be more of a Central Texas thing... About 100 miles from Austin, the same for Houston.
