Free instructional style "track day" @ ECR all day this saturday
before anyone says anything i'll preface
ECR sucks, it will murder your brakes and probably your dog too. with that said, this shit is FREE.

So take note, if you're already blue with ECR you might not have any fun. There will be a pace car keeping speeds "reasonable" and it says everyone must have instructors. There "may" be a hot session for people already qualified to go out there by themselves without f@#king anyone's day up.
A friend of mine is helping coordinate this so I'm just spreading the word. The "scared of track days" people could easily go to this event, save $165 on a normal open track day and not worry about breaking anything.

**OPEN FREE TRACK DAY AT EAGLES CANYON RACEWAY THIS SATURDAY**
This coming Saturday, we will be hosting a FREE track day experience at Eagles Canyon Raceway, directly after Cars and Coffee. The track day will consist of lead and follow groups. We will be hosting open "sporty" street cars to full race cars from 11AM until dark on Saturday.
This is a FREE chance to explore the track, get a feel for what road racing is all about. We are allowing sports to sporty type cars, street cars to full blown race cars, to get out on track behind a pace car to engage in some high-level touring around the track. A possible full open "hot" track session for full race cars might take place, as well, this is also a Eagles Canyon Raceway member day, so you'll see some cars in action throughout the day
We will have classroom time in the clubhouse before each session to explain everything to you, as well as the ECR grill fired up! We'll call it "Cars and Lunch, at ECR".
So come out, spectate, join in, enjoy the afternoon... weather is calling for mid 60s/sunny!

I'll add that there are some technical sections to ECR that do make it fun. It is not as boring as people say it is.
The good thing about the above event that it will be at highway speeds so you will be able to learn the track and see what a track looks like.

no credit due to me, i'm just passing this along. i have a feeling there's going to be a pretty big turnout, so depending on how it goes i'm sure they will do another.

Thanks for info. I'd go but....(insert excuse here). Hopefully there won't be any idiots out there that would ruin future dates.
