FS FT built F20C engine

PRICE: 4500 or 2k OBO plus a stock s2000 engine f20c or f22c.
CONTACT: 832 758 4014 aim is azunboy281 or PM
LOCATION: Enginelogics in sugarland
VIN: JHMAP1140YT004789

DESCRIPTION: Came out of a 00 s2000, engine had a slight knock so everything inside was cleaned, replaced with aftermarket and or OEM equipment. ENGINE IS NOT ASSEMBLED YET, but it is balanced and everything is done to specs. I will assemble it if i have the time which i probably wont .
the new parts i have in it is:

Forged CP 8.75:1 pistons with rings
Forged Carillo Rods
new oem crank
darton sleeves (cant remember PN, but its the best sleeve from darton)
ARP head/bottom nuts/bolts
Cometic HG will be included as well

Everything is unassembled since i dont have time to assemble it at this moment, but the block is completed with the sleeves already and that was the long/hard part since waiting for it to get done from LME was approx 6 weeks time. So all you need to do is place the pistons/rings in and rods/bearings and crank.

The block is completely balanced, sleeves have been bored out to specs for the pistons, the block was also sent for a complete line bore as well.

I want 2k OBO plus your engine if your engine is in a good condition. The head will not be included unless you want it ported/polished but that will be extra on top.

parts and labor totaled up to around 4500ish for bottom end to get bored and sleeved.

Seems like an awful lot for a pile of parts that may or may not fit &/or work together.

Originally the regular darton sleeves wouldnt make the proper clearances needed so i bought the darton MDI sleeves which gives proper clearances after bore etc etc for the f20. other then that tell me how its not going to work cause everything is set up to specs for proper oil clearances, and everything has been test fitted but never torqued down

I still have issues with the word "built" in the title. (and the $$$$)

It ain't BUILT, it's all in a pile and someone has to give you their working engine for the parts and they still have to pay to have it BUILT.

It seems that it would be better for the purchaser to just buy the parts and work on a spare engine until they had it running.

And then there's the fact that they probably would have ordered some different pieces if they were building it their way.

Usually a pile of unassembled parts is worth no where near the cost of said pile.

^ Y'know, nobody is forcing you to buy it. ;)

Obviously no one is forcing ANYONE to buy it!

I'm just pointing out the problem with the offer and possibly why it hasnt' had any takers either here or in San Antone.

A "pile" is OK so long as you know what you are getting.

By test-fitted I would hope that the sleeves have been bored/honed and clearanced for the pistons themselves, these things don't just "work" off the shelf. Also, the rings have to be properly gapped. I'd also make sure that the rod/crank journals were sized and proper bearings selected... otherwise that has to be done which takes a few hours and good knowledge/tools (i.e. not a backyard job).

If the machining/clearancing, ring and bearing sizing is all done, the engine can just be assembled per the factory shop manual which doesn't require much more than a torque wrench and piston ring compressor.
