Got my car detailed, Scott is the man!

So I decided it was time that my baby needs some attention since its my dd for a year now and ppl post and ask about who to get the car detailed from.

Scott's name came up a few times and I decided I will see what he can do and I was surprised with the results and am very happy. Look at the link below and whoever needs detailing, I would recommend Scott!! :)

Looks good. How long did it take? And, if you don't mind posting, about how much did it cost?

Thanks :)

He started around 10:30AM and he got done around 4:30 as far as I remember. It took him more time because of all that black on my car.

He quoted me $135 for the detail but then I had some gum on another car which he charged $20 and since the black paint was PITA and I felt bad that he had to work extra hard on that so I gave $20 extra. So all in all, I paid him $175 for all the work that he did and I was very satisfied with the work. I am not sure how much you tip when you get your car detailed, but I just wanted to let him know that he did a very good job :)

^ Wow... that's not bad at all. I recall paying $180 to get my '88 Accord detailed back in 1998/99... and then, apparently due to whatever "paint treatment" stuff they used, the paint started spider-webbing about 6 weeks later.

<$150 for a full detail with quality products is a good deal.

Thanks...that is why I wanted to share with everyone the experience I had and the work he did. He is really a good guy and he kept me in the loop and kept telling me the stuff that I am using this and this now and nwo I will use this and he also sent me a list of products to keep my car like this :)

Overall a very good experience and some money well spent!

I'd say you received your money's worth, very nice!

My car needs a detail hopefully when I get my bumpers panted this week. I have swirls all over the trunk and hood and that price doesnt seem too bad.

^ I think you're supposed to wait at least a month after re-painting before you detail a car. You might want to verify that.

When I got my car painted, they told me not to detail or wax for 90 days. mxt is right, you might want to confirm on that.
