okay, okay...I can't keep you all waiting any longer! I bought a brand new Rio Yellow Pearl 2008 S2000 CR...
No, it doesn't have air conditioning...nor does it have a stereo...but what it does have is my name on the note...and that's what's important. I've been ogling over this one for a VERY long time...and no one in their right mind would buy it (gee, I wonder why)...but that said...I love it. I took delivery of her tonight.
As soon as I got in it to drive her home I decided that I HAD TO HAVE some good music to go with the moment only to find that as soon as I hit bumped the radio cover and bumped up the volume button...I heard nothing. Yeah, I knew beforehand that it didn't have AC or audio...but habits are habits. Thankfully, I had some Switchfoot loaded up on my phone and was able to enjoy a little mood music to soak in my moment!
My 2003 Spa Yellow S2000 served me VERY well during our time together...and she left my possession with a little over 124k miles on her with limited issues...so I'm hoping to get the same amount of enjoyment and longevity out of this one.
Now all I have to do it find a way to install air conditioning in it by Spring...any ideas?

I'll trade you even up for one with a radio and an A/C. I'll even leave the wheels on it.

NO ac? no radio? in Texas w/ several 100 degree days strung together and miles and miles of boring roads...

are you INSANE?!?!? heheheheheheheheh

Congrats... i wish i could buy one of the last to be made... but it wouldn't be a CR cause i'm already insane about when i put the top down... no top down would drive me crazy... specially on a hot day ... w/ no AC... lol

hope you have a different daily driver!

hehe

Yeah, I told them that I'd probably be looking into leasing a Fit come May...
The sticker on mine was $39k and I bought it for $26,200...so the fact that nobody in their right minds wanted to buy a car with no A/C in Texas really played into my favor...but it was a deal I couldn't refuse!

You bought the one at John Eagle I presume. If you intend to lease a DD, there's almost no point in adding A/C to the S. It's also rather expensive considering what you need.

Additionally you'll be best served leasing a Civic, as it is leases better than a Fit, unless of course you like the Fit enough to pay more for it.
