Default Input on my coilover decision :]

I've decided to go with BC Racing coilover's I was wondering if it's worth getting swift springs, I've read on other parts of the forums about the upgrade but I wanted some info from the locals and I was wondering if 10/10 spring rate is good or should I go with something different.

Is this for DD only, or will you tracking or auto-x'ing too? A lot of people are going to the KWV3's with the Swift Spec R springs, but these might be too stiff to suit your needs. Essentially we need more information in order to offer advice.

Swift springs in my opinion are the best especially when used with stock shocks. I would only consider swift if i were to install springs on my car. I would think they would compliment the KWv3's nicely if they do so on oem.

Whether or not a spring rate is "good" is dependent on the valving of the damper.

Spring rate choice is highly dependent on intended purpose.

If I was going to daily drive the car I would initially stay with whatever rate came with the coil over because most likely it is valved appropriately for that rate. To me appropriate is decent to good street ride with whatever track manners depending on intended purpose of coil over. If you only dd your car I wouldn't waste my money on higher rate springs. If you track your car, then this can be a long conversation.

On my former Type R race car I had BC (I forget the model) coil overs that I upped the rate quite a bit and the shocked handled it ok.

I recommended Megan Racing Track Series Coilovers, which I have them on my car also, they go pretty low and I like the way they ride(:

I have 10K/10K on my KW clubsports and the ride is definitely stiffer but not unbearable, but I do not daily drive the car and only had this suspension for a few weeks and probably only few hundred miles of driving.

So stick to BC Racing, stock springs and 10/10 rate, thanks.

I don’t know what the BC sell for, but if I was getting new shocks. I would buy these. If I didn’t already have AST’s, I would be all over this.

$2000 is overkill for a daily driver IMO.
