Default Into a new S!

So I've been around in the community for awhile, however never real active in the local sections. A few of the guys know me, but I just wanted to share some of the stuff I've been up to. I hope to get involved in the community more often, but my schedule keeps me pretty busty

Anyways, I wont make this too long. I picked up my first S when I was 18. An 03 Spa yellow AP1 that I fell in love with. Never had any accidents and took care of it meticulously (within my capabilities) for 6 years. The paint was immaculate, and it was built from stock, entirely by myself and help from some good friends

This is how it sat in the end!

Nothing on it was super expensive, but it looked good, it was my "young and fun" car for sure. Bright and flashy, aggressive looking and loud
The car was featured in the S2ki calendar multiple times in multiple years, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of it. Served me great as a daily all through college and my first couple years directly out of school.
I had the engine fully rebuilt by Endyn for an absurd amount of money with the intentions of boosting it to hell and back trouble free for the next 300k miles

Well 6 years after I bought the car, 110k miles and 700 miles after the new fully rebuilt engine was installed and tuned, I had a bad time with a super gravel ridden on-ramp when I looked away from the road for a split second. The rear wheels hit the thick gravel/salt/dirt/dust mixture and that's all she wrote. No traction control on the AP1 plus my summer performance tires at 50mph meant it was game over.

It was a sad sad sad day. I kept the car and parted it out, mostly because I wanted to keep my engine that I had grown fondly attached to, but mostly because that was my only option, as I only had liability insurance on the car.. yea I know, no idea what I was thinking, and honestly forgot about it after 6 years of ZERO incidents.

Anyways, after a few months of looking around for cars, I realized I wanted nothing other than my old car back Knowing that wasn't an option, I decided to do more of an adult build as I'm 24 (still young I know ) but I've matured a lot more, and I wanted to do another S2k, but just in a different direction of my old one.

Enter 1 of 556, 2007 GPW w/ Red/Black interior! This was actually Tim's old car (miccrispy on the forums) for those of you who know him, real cool guy, and he keeps his cars in pristine cherry condition. He did some tasteful mods including BC Racing BR coilovers, SBC RPF1s, K&N intake, and 3" full exhaust w/ test pipe and the HKS single Hi-Power exhaust.

Here it is on the day of delivery after a nice wash! (shipped it from Orlando)

Put some new kicks on it, super rare limited run Dark Gunmetal TC105N's in 17x9 +49 all around. 255/40/17 square set up all around!

Interior:
Has some REALLY nice and stupid rare parts. Black alacantara w/ red stitching on the shift boot, elbow pad and both door panels, LOVE this interior!

I'm really excited for this car's future. I have my 9.5cr built for boost F20 in the backyard still, I still want to daily a turbo s2k, so I'm highly considering dropping that F20 into this car, running the DBW system with it, picking up a UKDM cluster that revs to 9k and boosting it to 400-450whp. I think having a 9k revving turbo F20 DBW car in the states would be something really special!

Anyways, thanks for reading if you made it all the way to this point, it's been a roller coaster of a ride, but I'm happy as ever and can't wait to see what the future holds for this build

I'm glad to see you went back to another S! My 1st 4 years of ownership were problem free, but my S has been through a lot lately and none of which was my fault! Your new S is already looking great and I cant wait to see your boosted 9k on the road!
