Default Looking For A Good S2K Mechanic/shop

Hello All. Just purchased an 02 w/18k miles and I'm just wondering what shops/dealerships have a good reputation here in the D/FW area. I'm in Arlington, but wouldn't mind a short drive for good service and knowledge. In reading through these forums, I can tell Jiffy Lube wont cut it! Thanks in advance.

Marcucci is a highly respected, but busy member on here that occasionally takes maintenance/modification jobs on a contact basis.

Independent Foreign Car (Dan Gould off Turner Warnell and S. Cooper) have always worked wonders with my Hondas. I do not know what their experience is with s2000s, but I would give them a call.

Thanks guys. Are there any dealerships out there who do good work w/o charging an arm and a leg? Any pos/neg experiences with Vandergriff? I think they would be closest to me. I have read volumes about Lute Riley on this forum, but I havent seen much about anyone else.

Don't take it to a dealer if you want good work that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. An independent shop or a mechanically inclined board member will be your best bet.

Speaking of dealerships you might talk to rioyellow... I think there may be a mechanic at the dealership he works at that does work on his S2Ks... on the side, so might be reasonable price

All the dealerships will charge a lot.. it will market hourly rate and book hours.

There will be good and bad experiences at all of them but I think John Eagle has addressed the issues. They have been good recently, and I recommend them.
