I think there is a thread on this site concerning the use of the magnaflow exhaust on the S, I vaguely recall reading about this sometime ago.

I haven't had much luck with the search. Do you think there was some problem? I've looked at Borla Magnaflow, and Dynomax. All 3 have companies offer mufflers with similar dimensions that I believe would work, but Magnaflow looks like the best choice. Borla is significantly more expensive than the other 2, and Dynomax looks like an inferior internal design.

If I remember correctly the mufflers (I don't know which particular one) tended to hit the underside of the car, and the other issue was with the baffles coming loose.

This is some of the past posts.

the CR exhaust is pretty loud for a stock exhuast IMO, but maybe I'm gettin old. with your intake it should be plenty of noise. You're welcome to try mine out at the next event Greg.

I'd like to ride in your's, Scott. However, I went ahead and ordered the Magnaflow mufflers and tips from Amazon. I doubt they'll be here in time for the autocross.

I tried using the search on Google and S2KI, but there are WAY too many threads that contain the word "Magnaflow" that have nothing to do with what I'm doing.

I'll probably check out Pronto in Plano when they get here, unless someone else knows of a better place in the McKinney area.

I really liked the Apexi WSII universal mufflers, but i think they're too expensive each, might as well buy an off the shelf.

i have magnaflow mufflers on my car and they fit, look and sound great. gernby theres a lil place called Davidson Muffler in mckinney that will do custom welding for pretty cheap. my friend got his full exhaust flowmasters on his truck for 200 total with parts. and not long ago i had a muffler welded on with an extension piping for just 20 on a friends car.

Anyone who installs this should be able to do a good job modifying mufflers. They install a piece in the stock exhaust.
