Sorry to hear about the wreck, Casey! Glad to hear you walked away from it. Looks like the ol' Subaru held up pretty well, all things considered.
I'll second the idea of using your insurance company - that's what you pay them for. The accident report should seal the deal, and witnesses will help as well. It may take awhile for you to get your deductible back, but you'll get it eventually.
So what are you buying to replace the Scooby?

After some thought and more talking to my insurance company, I am just going to use them... Mercury has been great and very proactive on my behalf... why not continue with them? Thanks for the help... I was just VERY angry after my first encounter with the other insurance yesterday...
As for a replacement... I am not sure at all. I know it will be a Honda/Acura... and most likely used (as much as I want a new car). I test drove a Tacoma X Runner last weekend (before the wreck) and decided a truck wasn't for me. Some of my options would include 97-98 ITR, 99-01 Prelude-SH, 02-04 RSX-S, 03+ Accord (V6 & 6MT), 2003 CL-S (6MT), and even something like a CRV and just play with my Integra...
Like I said a long time ago... I am done with Subaru... and I am done experimenting with brands I can't trust... there are MANY cars out there that I LOOK at and like, but very few of them where an H, A, T or L... so I know better than to mess with them.

That sucks, I had something similar when someone backed into my M3 and tried to run. The cops saw him and stopped him/got his info. His insurance company wouldn't pay out becuase they have to talk to him first to get his side and he was dodging them. Finally I got fed up, went downtown and got the police report faxed it over to their insurance company and they finally paid up.
BTW out of those I'd get the CL-S manual with LSD or prelude, buy an ITR and you'll be filing a vandalism/theft claim again within 6 months.

dont get a lawyer. just make sure the responsible carrier takes care of your damages car and medical, if there was citation, tickets, and pr citing the other person the other party WILL take care of you. if they dont tell them u will get a lawyer and sue the shit out of them for bad faith., anything u claim under PIP u can double dip-meaning u can collect from the same bill rom both insurance companies legally. PIP also covers loss wages.

for what it's worth...I've talked to some other people about your height (my dad is 6'6" and can make this work, he just likes his swiss cars)
If you haven't already you could try pulling the seat a little forward and the seat back, I believe some taller people have found this comfortable with the S, I guess this is where I say I'm lucky not to be so tall.
Also, good to hear things are working out with your ins company! Watch out for soreness up to two or three weeks after the accident, it can hit you late...

Head room wise, I fit better in the S than I do in a lot of Hondas... it is the clearance under the steering wheel that kills me... if the car had tilt, I could drive it
