There's a post on the main forum of a guy who made some out of ABS plastic garden material... I'll see if I can find the post. Supposedly it helps protect the paint from getting dings from rocks and debris, especially if you're running wheels/tires wider than stock.

For those that live in areas with alot of loose gravel, it would be a decent idea.

Hey thats a clever idea. I think I might try something out like that. Doesn't look too hideous and the material appears it would last quite some time. Good ol Lowes and Home depot

its good for people that live with gravel roads or maybe up north with snowy conditions and salt, etc. on the road....Or for that true 4x4 look!
