$2000 a month is a pittance for the hours we put in. It's designed so that if you were satisfied with $2000/month you're a weak bastard and are in the wrong business. And if you're good, $2000 a month is an insult. As I said, 3 months work the payplan and get out. I got into the business when I was 22, so 20 is nothing. Bankston Honda is not Hiring, but dealerships are always hiring. High End Luxury, not so much.

Jonboy is right.
And it's not as cut throat as you think. We've got guys who only sell 6-10 cars per month. But they put in the effort, they have good CSI, and they show up to work on time. They don't earn the living that the hours would suggest, but they get waht they accept. Management leaves them alone, and for the most part no one here abuses anyone. It all depends where you go.
Another great summer job would be bartending. I made a killing when I was 21 bartending, not to mention all the females you encounter. I wish I could do it now to augment my income, but then I'd try to function on 2-3 hours of sleep.

i tried to find a bartending job there so hard to get into because most places wont give you a chance if you have no experience. I went to acura to find a car for my sister and she goes in there and looks around the guy tried to sell her a tsx and she was like i want something more sporty like my brothers S2000. The guy was like they have the same motor and its basically the same thing. I was WTF are you talking about your an idiot
