Notice how I said MOST not all. 3,000 or less is not the norm. The trends are going more in the direction of the 4,000 pound mark than the 2,500 pound mark for 2+2 "sporty" GT cars. In fact the only three 2+2 sporty cars I can think of under 3,000 pounds are the Evora, RX-8 and a stripped out FWD 2.0T Audi TT.

G37 Coupe- 3,600 pounds
BMW M6- 3,900 pounds
Audi S5- 3,891 pounds
Maserati GranTurismo- 4,100 pounds
Nissan GTR- 3,800 pounds
