Powder Coating - Low Temperature

Bob Weinkauf, owner of Cross Link McKinney (www.crosslinkmckinney.com), is going to powder coat my AP2 wheels for $65 per wheel in 90% gloss black. I looked at a lot of his commercial work that was waiting to be shipped and the quality looked very good.

He is located just off of US380 on the west side of Princeton - 2787 CR497, McKinney 972.542.5441

Hopeffuly I have not stepped on one of our sponsors, and I apoligize if I have, but couldn't find one one the site.

Don

What was the outcome of this? I was thinking of getting some metal powder coated and these guys are near my house. Did it come out looking good?

I was going to use them for my valve cover, but he quoted me 65 which is $20 more than TRG coatings, even with shipping TRG was cheaper, plus they did a great job on my first one.

That sounds not bad, (I think). How long does it takes? You kno? Btw thanks for sharing info.

Does anyone know if you can powder coat just the middle of a wheel, leaving the lip polished? My brother's Volk's need to be refinished REALLY bad, and powder coating seems like a good option.

I don't want to start a debate but power coating wheels can cause them to break.

I would just go with a high quality paint job.
