I think the last time I did an autocross with the spare tire removed was sometime last year.
I've never taken the spare tire out. My excuse is that I'm lazy and I need more weight in the back end for rotation control.

And poor Al - he needs the spare tire at all times in case he gets another flat on course.

Congrats on the trophy, Al.

Congrats on the trophy, Al.
Heck, I need spare CARS . I should start pre-positioning critical parts between Houston and Dallas, between Dallas and Tyler, and all around MSR and Mineral Wells.

SVANN got a roofing screw at, or on the way to Mineral Wells, and on Sunday, I found a metal roofing screw (self-tapping sheet metal screw with a gasketed washer) in my left rear tire. What's the deal .

Regards,

Al

[QUOTE=CRDMS1,Nov 16 2006, 01:18 PM] I'll never live that one down and unfortunately I can't blame it on someone else

[QUOTE=QUIKAG,Nov 16 2006, 05:22 PM] The other drivers in your group wondered why you sucked so bad at driving.

They were probably pissed...it happened on the first lap of the second session heading CCW into Big Bend. I felt worse about killing everyone's session than about the damage. Seriously.

Anyway...I don't remember it, but David R was in the passenger seat and says I asked him what I did wrong while we were spinning around in endless circles. First through the infield, back out onto the track, and off the outside of the turn. Felt like it lasted forever. Good times

Speaking of that incident, Does Sean with the silver 911 have the video of that or what? I was right behing Corey, Sean was right behind me when Corey spun both ways across the track in front of us. At that moment we were all pushing along pretty hard. I knew something was not right when coming onto the short straight before big bend I picked up some fluids on my windshield, about the time that I realized what it was Corey began his adventure. That should be some great video.
The Mist of Inevitable Doom

I would LOVE to have a copy of that vid. Does anyone know him?

I know Sean (silver 911) quite well. I sent him an e-mail and am awaiting his reply. He has a camera in his car now, not sure if he did back then. I would imagine I would have watched video of the incident by now if he did.

You gotta stay on the kumhos, Mark! You're letting me know how slow I am. I need to gauge my progress off your times.

question-so if you hit a cone and get a +1 or +2, it's not a legit time to compete for your lowest? I noticed my 83.9 was posted as my fastest, not the 80.??? +2

Sorry for the autocross newbie question
