Default s2000 convertible top switch doesn't work

Hi
I have a 2000 Honda s2000 and my convertible top switch doesn't work. When I move it nothing happens. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Thank you!

Have you done any further troubleshooting to determine it is indeed the switch? Otherwise, it could be any number of other things...

Are you using that button with the e-brake up?

I don't know how long you have had your car so excuse me for the basic info.

The parking brake must be on and the latches unlatched.

^^And the car needs to be stopped...if you are driving with the e-brake up, the top will still not come down

Top has some speed sensors as well, so don't try to outsmart the car

all you have to do is snip the white/black wire in the passenger footwell area to disable the speed sensor to the top, the car isn't too hard to outsmart

but yea, latches unlatched, car at speed of '0' (unless modified) and e-brake up enough to turn on the light on the dash (unless modified)

why the hell would you want to disable the speed sensor?
you'd go driving down the road and hit the button and lose your top
just put the ebrake up STOPPED, and put it down

and thanks mozo

lol @ lose your top...

sometimes you are going 5-10 mph and want to raise/lower your top, the porsches can go up to ~30 mph and still have top functionality.

if you can't control yourself, then you shouldn't disable the speed sensor.

if you are driving down the road with the top up and the latches unfastened you probably have more issues than self control...
