Yeah he's been posting in my supercharger question thread a lot. Seems like a good guy.

Called Baileys, 2 week wait and 500 for a dyno tune. They said it would take all day to tune. Is this good, bad, or average?

This was for AEM.

Tony at T1 was $600-750 depending on AEM vs. Hondata. And all day is pretty standard.

I had Seth tuned my old S and $500 seems about right, I dropped the vehicle off and tuning was done in about 4-5 hours.

After driving Matt's S2000, I will be having Seth do the next tune on my turbo S2000.

+1 for Steve Kan. He tuned my friends FD3S RX7 TO4S. Friend had fueling issues, found previous owners aftermarket fuel filter was plugged, Steve went the extra mile and found a filter locally, installed and got his car back on the rollers, 400whp out of an arcaic turbocharger at 15psi. Steve was very reasonable pricing wise and didn't charge any extra for intalling the fuel filter IIRC. Steve is renowned for rotaries, many threads on rx7club.com where his customers would buy Steve a plane ticket to tune their cars, even out of the country. Give him a call.

Dumb question but, has anyone driven their car after adding forced induction prior to tuning? Not sure how I am going to get the S2K to Ft Worth from Irving, would it be somewhat OK to baby it over there or is towing the only viable option?

Lots of ways to do it, but having car ready to tune and towing it there is best.

Other options.

S/C -- Leave belt off and use OEM injectors/ OEM computer. Drive to tuner, change injectors and EMS. If your SC uses one belt and you cannot remove it, then remove hot side charge piping.
Turbo -- Same as above, but leave hot side charge piping off, so no boost reaches IM. Drive to tuner, add charge piping and change injectors and EMS.

Least favorite, get everything ready and baby car there on base map. Not really worth the potential damage to motor, but if only viable option, it is there. I would NOT use base map and allow ANY boost to reach motor. Either disconnect charge piping or S/C belt.
