Default Tire Recommendation

Six weeks ago I replaced my 4 OEM Bridgestones. I took a chance and bought Sumitomo's after viewing the test comparisons on Tire Rack. They won first place against some great tires. I couldn't be happier with my Sumis. They seem to grip better than the Bridgestones, probably quieter, and ride a little better. Too early to report on any wear, but at nearly half the price of the OEMs they are a performance bargain. And I wouldn't trade them for the Bridgestones. Can't wait to try them out next month when I drive "The Dragon" on the way to NC.

I have the same tires and I love them!
Pretty decent treadwear and they are the best in their class
I did like 4 autocrosses with 10K miles when the rears went out and fronts are still going on...
Pretty decent in rain as well

How do these hold up against the Potenza RE070s?

RE070's are in the Max Performance Category, so there probably isn't a fair comparison. Plus those have a treadwear rating of 140.

The RE070 is essentially a hair below an R-compound. No comparison.
