Default Blyton Park 5th August

After my dissapointing day at Donnington, I had a good chat with a few of the guys around the pit lane and we all said we'd have a go at Blyton Park where you could turn up with a SNECMA 593 attached to your car and all will be fine

More to the point, it's a great track for learning your car limits as there is lots of runoff and some tricky unflowing corners that test the car and yourself.

Finally, with Apex Trackdays, it's £99 and you get free passengers, free second driver, free tuition and a free cuppa tea for when you get there (Mike who runs Apex is a top bloke too )

So you can have a look at the link on my signature to see me mucking about on there or view teh track layout below.

I am doing this in the Polo, there are about 12 of us Polo boys going to this.

Come and say hello if you are going, i will be in a grey Polo G40 with a roll cage.

I am staying in a local hotel 1 mile from the track so if anyone else is staying over then let me know, be nice to meet up.

what does the free tuition consist of and does this need to be booked prior or on the day. Is payment prior to the event or on the day. I would like the wifey to have some tuition to gain some more confidence, dont get me wrong she does enjoy putting her foot down but could do with knowing the cars limits to have a bit more confidence. You can pm me if its easier.

The noise limit 'Officially' is 105dB.

I have never been noise tested there and I have never seen a gauge anywhere

Come on John, you know you want to!!!

You don't need to book tuition, it is available on the day FOC - you just need to ask. I'll post the video up of me tutoring the Wife using sign language only as you can't talk in a Westfield!

There is plenty of runoff but if I was to recommend something for you to get, a stick on rear view mirror for the instructor. They cost about £3 and it allows them to check for approaching cars whilst your wife concentrates on the driving aspect.

You can pay on the day if you so wish, but it is always worth booking your place, just so you can avoid missing out. I know that sounds cheesy, but it is the case as always

I have just finished speaking to Mike from Apex.

You can pay cash on the day, but he will need names and addresses to gauge numbers.

So if you can PM me your details, i'll sort that out

Thanks

Ron
