DONINGTON HISTORIC

Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May 2016

Whether you’re a long-time enthusiast or have never seen a historic racing car in action before, you’ll find plenty to entertain you at the Donington Historic Festival. After just four years the event is already firmly established as a major fixture on the international historic racing calendar, attracting many thousands of spectators, hundreds of world-class historic racing cars and huge numbers of classic car club displays.

Ticket availability and prices to follow (November)

Donington Historic Website

So, please get yourself signed up... NOW!

DISCOUNTED CLUB TICKETS - S2KUK Members Only, No abuse of the code please!

Club name: UK S2000 Owners Club

Club code*: PLEASE EMAIL s2kuk@s2kuk.com for the code!

*When giving out this code to your members, please don’t put it out into public forums etc. that aren’t directly

associated with your club. And please DO NOT PUT THE CODE ON FACEBOOK!

Club ticket booking deadline: 5pm on Sunday, April 24th 2016 (this is a few days earlier than the deadline for non-car club bookings)

BOOKINGTICKETS

Carclub ticket deadline

Please note the club ticket booking deadline of 5pm on Sunday, April 24th - it is important that you make your members aware of that, as we always get lots club people trying to book at the last minute and they are always very disappointed that they had missed the offer – and all claim that their club hadn’t told them about the deadline!

How your members can buy tickets online

There's a button on the home page of the website that links directly to advanced ticket sales, the link is:

http://doningtonpark...ton-park/924966

Members must enter your club's unique offer code and press the 'use code' button, then the prices on the page will change to your club prices, rather than the full prices originally displayed. At that point they will also be asked to request infield display parking passes.

NB, in case you get any queries, please note that car club discounted tickets are offered in multiples of two, and the price shown is the discounted price for one ticket. When they add two tickets to their basket, they will therefore be getting two tickets for the (full) price of one. If they want four tickets for the price of two full-priced ones, they must click '4'! We did have one or two people last year who got a little confused and consequently only bought half the amount of tickets they needed...

Buying tickets over the phone

Our ticket hotline number is: 0844 873 7355 Your members will need to quote the car club code to take advantage of the club offer. *(please note, calls cost 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge).

See Tickets' charges

See Tickets levies the following additional charges on top of our ticket prices - a booking fee per ticket to cover their admin costs, plus a transaction fee on the total order. Booking fees are:

And of course, your members get the above tickets on a buy one, get one free offer, a 50% saving on the advance ticket prices, and an even more significant saving on the on-the-gate prices of £28 for a single-day ticket, £45 for a two-day ticket and £65 for a three-day ticket. Children aged 15 and under (accompanied by an adult) get in for free.

The transaction fee is a one-off post and packaging cost for the total order, and that's the same whether a member is buying one pair of tickets or 25 pairs oftickets. The transaction fee is £1.95 per order for first class post and£6.40 for secure post. Your members will be able to choose their preferred method of postage at the checkout.

Here is a brief summary of the Festival, for your members:<o></o>

Donington Historic Festival - Donington Park, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, April 30[sup]th[/sup],May 1[sup]st[/sup] and May 2[sup]nd[/sup] 2016.

With close-fought racing every day, over 400 historic racing cars spanning seven decades, historic rally car and karting action and a ‘living motoring museum’ created by dozens of car clubs displays – plus a host of other attractions – exhilaration and entertainment is guaranteed, whether you buy a ticket for one, two or all three days! On each day of the Festival gates open at 07.30am and the circuit activity starts at 9.10am, finishing at around 6.30pm. The provisional timetable will be announced early in 2016. Members of car clubs registered to attend the event benefit from a two-for-one ticket offer on advance discounted tickets when they quote their unique club code at time of booking (car club booking deadline is Sunday, April 24[sup]th[/sup] and all car club tickets must be booked in advance), and, at the time of booking, will be asked to request the number of infield passes they require, allowing them to join the other cars on display in their club's dedicated infield parking area, to create a fantastic exhibit for all spectators to enjoy. Children aged 15 and under (accompanied by an adult)get in for free. www.doningtonhistoric.com

INFIELD AND SUPPORT VEHICLE PARKING<o></o>

The car club display area in the infield is a great attraction for car club members and other Festival visitors alike. We are keen to keep it looking as good as possible – which usually works well, provided that clubs respect our guidelines re display and non-display vehicles!

Infield parking passes

SeeTickets will send out your members’ requested infield parking pass or passes(for club appropriate display vehicles only) with the tickets (see ‘Booking Tickets’, overleaf). We ask that club members request the exact number of infield passes they require at the time of booking and we ask that your members don’t request more than they will actually need! We also ask them to provide details of the car the pass is for, at time of booking. We do appreciate that a small number of people won’t know (e.g. they might be preparing a car, be hoping to buy a car or have more than one to choose from!) but we think most should be able to complete this information. If your members are not planning on arriving in a club display car, please ask them not to order an infield parking pass.<o></o>

In the interests of keeping your display looking as good as possible, we also ask that any club members arriving in a vehicle that is not forming part of the club display park their car in the public car park, not in the infield.

MOVEMENT TIMES IN AND OUT OF THE SITE

Entry to the infield will be via a tunnel. Gates open at 7.30 each day, and cars must arrive by 11am and will be allowed to exit via the tunnel again after 3pm each day. In emergencies, movements in and out will be permitted, and we may also create a clubs’ car holding area in the outfield by the tunnel, with marshaled movements into the infield at fixed times after 11am and before 3pm – details of this will be confirmed before the event. We ask you to encourage your members to arrive before 11am –Health & Safety rulings from the local council mean that movement into the infield between 11am and 3pm must be restricted. PLEASE NOTE – this information is correct as of 10.11.2015 – if there are any changes to these times we will let you know.

CAR CLUB PARADES

There will be one each day of the Festival, at lunchtime, featuring a maximum of 100cars (across all clubs) each day. This is a hugely popular part of the event, and places will be decided on a ‘draw’ system, which, although it means that some clubs may not be allocated any spaces at all, we think is the fairest way!We confirm numbers of parade cars per club in advance and produce special parade car passes, and ask club officials to ensure that their members who are taking part sign on at our club admin tent in the infield and collect their parade passes there. Further details will follow.

This might be a more realistic prospect for us than MegaMeet which is the same weekend and I've always wanted to attend this event.

Do we have a club stand at this one ?

Andy2000 - We haven't had a "Honda" stand on past years; I understand from AE that Honda can only support 1 event per year and Silverstone makes more sense. In the past, we've had a low attendance at Donington, with a max of 15ish cars in 2014. Only 3 members attended last year and I think I was the only one to do the whole weekend.

The "2 for 1" ticket offer we get via the club is great value - 2 * 3 day tickets for c£45 TOTAL....So I spend the extra on a decent hotel nearby - https://www.radissonblu.com/en/hotel...HMEDIAREZIDOR#
