In response to a suggestion by AE, I propose a secound Essex Meet, Wednesday May 19th

LOCATION, now to be The George and Dragon, Mountnessing.

Easy to find, from the M25 go north on the A12 towards Chelmsford, take the first exit , Signposted to Mountnessing, Drive straight into Mountnessing the pub is on the left with a nice newly tarmaced carpark.

It will be a 7pm onwards meet, and maybe a bit of a convoy from the Bishops Stortford Area. Convoy from BS if any one is interested ? sugest 6.30pm At the birchanger services with a ETA of 7.30 at the pub, via the lanes of Essex.

Excellent about 20 minutes drive from me at work!

It also happens to be my birthday so I expect a cake! ;-)

I should be ok to come along to this.

Just looked on Google Maps and got directions. It gave me three options from Shenfield (near Brentwood). 1) Straight through Billericay, 2) around Billericay on what appears to be a tiny track (!) or 3) onto the A12. Any ideas from locals which might be the best route? They all say roughly the same distance and time although it seems to rank them in the order above for some reason.
