I have provisionally booked Click-->The Allesley Hotel<--Click which is fairly central, near Coventry.

Details:
  • Date is 13th December (a saturday night). The concensus was just to do the "do" although if there is demand we could organise a small :drive: during the morning/afternoon.
  • We have a private room for approximately 70 people, with Christmas Meal and Disco :dance2: and I'm sure there will be a moderate amount of :drunk: too :)
  • We'll run a raffle / auction / stunts / events etc etc on the evening to raise money for Charity too! :)
  • The hotel is of a fairly decent standard, not the Ritz, but it is good value.
  • Most importantly they have a large carpark (enough for 500 cars!) with CCTV which can be viewed clearly from reception. I will be arranging a special area for us in the car park.

Thought I knew the name from somewhere

All comers be careful, they've gone bezerk with Speed camera's on this stretch of road between Coventry and Brum. It seemed to have calmed down a bit since I last drove it a lot when I was at Uni at Cov but be very careful please

Yep, FluffyNinja is spot on - there are loads of the damn GATSOs and they've even got those red eye cameras which IIRC measure your average speed between two of them. However, I think they're on the A45 going out of Coventry towards the M45 and the M1.
