Jacky Slag 7 May 2010 Euro Hoon
The Jacky Slag 7 May 2010 Euro Hoon is now live & if you fancy it get your names down here.
Departure will be usual dates around the bank holiday at the end of May. Dover - Dunkerque.
Route will be down to Lille, then to Metz before crossing into Germany for a play in the Alp foothills then turning south into eastern Switzerland for Davos (ring any bells?). Yes, then we punt it for Stelvio, see if we can make it this time. Only two of the slags made it last year. From there across Italy to a little hotel we stayed at on my Alps run in 06 then into France to pick up the legendary Route Napoleon & blasting northwards along a spankingly good road.
All this will be done without touching a motorway except for the Friday night run down to Lille. Yes, i shit you not, it can be done & easily. We'll leave on the Friday evening as usual & back on the following Saturday.
Same set up as before. No money to me. I book it, route it, plan it. You pay when you get there.
I am taking 6-7 cars max for this with 3-4 spaces already potentially filled. This is open to all marques to keep things lively, but S2k's will be the majority i think.
Driving can be 'spirited' (except in Switzerland if your called Budgie!!) so experience counts & being able to keep the pressure on for a long time is the name of the game.
Plenty of driving, with bags of scenery.
Ex hooners more than welcome as usual but get in quick.
Newbies, i need to know you or someone needs to recommend you. This may sound harsh but as i say we drive hard on these things at times & we need to trust each other on the road. Yes, we feck about & have fun but we do it safely. We need to know you can do the same thats all.
