Default New Breakfast Club Meet in Bicester - Sunday 20th September *

Received this via email today.

The dates for the 2016 Donington Historic Festival have been confirmed as the Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday, April 30th, Sunday, May 1st and Monday, May 2nd 2016 – a Spring date to look forward to!

With its much-admired combination of highly competitive, world-class historic motor racing and an open-access paddock that allows visitors to get up close to that priceless metal, plus tyre-smoking historic rally car demonstrations, historic karts action and hundreds of classic cars on show in the infield, the Donington Historic Festival is a hugely popular fixture in the international historic calendar.

As always we will be welcoming registrations from car club organisers, and later this year will announce details of our car club deal, to ensure that your members have a fantastic time at the event, and your club can present itself to its best advantage to the crowds of spectators. In the meantime, please put the Festival dates in your club diary!
BICESTER HERITAGE SUNDAY BRUNCH SCRAMBLE

Many of you will know that the Donington Historic Festival team is actually based at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire, a unique former RAF Bomber Training Station. As a rapidly expanding centre of historic automotive excellence, Bicester Heritage itself is home to a growing number of classic car events which we help to organise, most notably the Flywheel Festival (which took place in June this year and is set to return in 2016) and also the Sunday Brunch Scrambles (a programme of breakfast gatherings that take place throughout the year).

The 6th Sunday Brunch Scramble is on 20th September and, with gates opening from 9am, the event gives a perfect excuse for hundreds of classic vehicles to come together and for owners and guests to enjoy a relaxed social gathering. As well as enjoying the visiting classic cars, motorbikes and other vehicles, visitors can explore the site and glimpse inside the various specialist businesses now established at Bicester Heritage, many of whom will be opening their doors throughout the event. Subject to weather, the airfield will also be active so you can expect to see the Bicester Gliding Centre in operation, as well as a variety of visiting aircraft flying in. With the site open until 2pm and catering provided to suit all tastes, plus traders and a few surprise exhibits, there should be plenty to occupy everyone throughout.

Tickets are available in advance only and are £5 per adult (children under 16 are free) but visitors arriving in a pre-1989 classic vehicle can bring a friend for free, through our ‘two for the price of one’ ticket offer, which also gives the opportunity to display your vehicle in amongst the buildings of the main technical site, subject to availability.

Car club invitation
Car clubs who wish to attend the event can also take advantage of this ‘two for the price of one’ offer by registering with us in advance. We will then issue you with a dedicated link to circulate to all your members (whether bringing a ‘classic’ or ‘modern’ vehicle) and can also provide you with a dedicated club display area on the airfield.

The event takes place from 9am to 2pm on Sunday 20th September and you can find more information here

If you would like to register your club then please contact us by emailing karen@historicpromotions.com or calling Karen Coe on 01728 684410.

Are you arranging a club stand for this? I'm interested in attending. Not far from me.

No plans for stand - I'm useless at herding cats and organising things

I've bought a ticket - only £5 so if it is shit weather, no loss. Plan to go to the Kop Hill Climb later that day
