108 month service - £420!
I called Listers in Coventry today and not knowing what service I need, told them the next one in the book is the 108 month. It was serviced in April 2013 and the 96 month box was stamped. The car was on 52k in April 2013 and now on 57k.
The price they gave me was £420. The service book it says this is oil, oil filter, cabin filter, air filter, brake fluid, spark plugs, gearbox oil and check valve clearances.
Firstly, is this the correct service to get, and is this price "normal"? I'll pay the money if that's what needs to be done, but as with anything that costs me a wedge of money, I always check first! Is there a specialist in Warwickshire that people can recommend maybe?
Cheers

Ask em what they plan to do?
I have paid £500 one year, did almost everything

Well according to their own service schedule they do all of the things in my first post. It's one of the largest services in the book though! I'll call back and ask for a full run down of what they'll do though. At the moment it's booked for April 1st, so plenty of time.
Lol! Just realised that's April fools day!

Checking the valve clearance would indicate them doing a valve adjustment, that alone costs $200-250 (US). The other bits they're doing it isn't far off, it is a dealer after all and they're going to charge a bit more.

That is the correct service (see the schedule in the FAQ (essentially it's the 54k service again) and probably about the right price for a main dealer based on the "Euro 9,000" schedule.
What is done is as follows:
Oil & Filter £50
Air Filter £25
Spark Plugs £60
Change Diff Fluid
Change Brake Fluid
Valve Clearances
Adjust Drive Belt
+ the usual "inspect brake pads etc" stuff
The parts are a fair bit more than £100
However, you may well find it cheaper to get the work done on the new "Honda 12" scheme where you can get the basic stuff done and then add bits as necessary. See here for details: http://www.honda.co.uk/cars/owners/s...irs/servicing/
A Honda 12+ and valve clearances is £365. It may also be wort finding a dealer that does an S2KUK discount (if you're a member). My local gives 15% off so works out as good value.
Also, see the Cox Motor Parts site, they have some good prices n service kits. http://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/2000-...7_434_690.html
