They had issues with an incorrect build, some washers on the crank?

Get someone knowledgeable to look/listen

Good luck

alvin moore 02-26-2018 07:53 AM

yes i must get that looked at. am starting to think that wee knock/tap noise is the time that takes the oil to get round the engine cas its not drove that much. surley that noise wod last more than 5min if it was something major like the crank. just thinking outloud

Oil circulation would be seconds, not minutes. 5mins is likely to be something else, related to heat build up, eg piston slap due to tolerances closing up as it warms up.

What oil are you using and have you checked the dipstick?

alvin moore 02-26-2018 08:34 AM

Nah, they all do it a little when cold. Was just an example though. Difficult to know what it is without hearing it.
