OK - With 5000 miles on clock, and I'm getting a notch from going from 2nd to 3rd. All other gear changes are fine.

Dealer says, "That's normal - Tech dept say give it another 5000 and then we will look at it".

Does this sound right to you?

Try another dealer and see what they say or contact HUK direct and get their advice.

I had this problem or similiar recently. felt like you were missing the gate on the upshift? I perservered with the dealer and got a new box, Honda had wanted to replace third gear and syncro but service dept suggested it that was not the cause they would still have to continue in the dark. Keep at them, and Honda technical should have the commmunications from my dealer.
