Default 36K Service

I serviced my car myself at 29000 miles, i know it was supposed to be 27K but i had the car at 23 and i had been freshly serviced then so i didnt think the extra 2k would be any harm,

anyway, the car is on 37k now so though i best do the service again.

The last service i did i changed the

1) Oil
2) Oil Filter
3) Spark Plugs
4) Pollen Filter

for this service i was just going to change the oil and oil filter. Is there anything else i should also change?

didnt think there was need to change the plugs again?

No need to change plugs again, just oil and filters will be fine. Pollen filter should also be ok but check. What air filter do you have?

What about the age related service schedule? Your upto 7 or 8 years old so what about things such as replacing transmission fluid (8 years/72K), or rear diff fluid (3 & 6 yrs). Has this ever been done?

Also what about the checks that are done during the service - will you do these? For example have your valve clearances ever been checked?

I know that milage is a big factor in the service schedule but maybe you shouldn't ignore the age markers all together? Have you got a record of everthing that was done prior to your ownership?

Food for thought I hope.

Didnt know the transmission fluid had to be done, or the rear dif! maybe i should take it to honda then!

I was going to get my grandad to give it a check over, using the print out of the sheet from the FAQ, hes a retired mechanic. ( was going to use his pit to change the oil)

I have no recored of what was done prior to it being imported, at 20000 miles.
