Hondata will work on pre DBW cars but you have to change over cam cover and trigger wheels by the time and cost for these extra bits it puts you in the bracket of AEM EMS 2

I am fairly certain that the Hondata Flashpro will not work with a non dbw car. The work and cost involved in remapping an OEM ecu non dbw car, changing the ecu would be the way to go.
Before I had the car remapped I ran the car with a Password snorkel, K&N filter and a Mugen exhaust manifold, the car ran fine and I did notice a slight improvement in how the car drove but with the remap using the Flashpro there is big improvement.

The Hondata FlashPro (not to be confused with the Hondata KPro 2000) is the plug and play way to tune the DBW cars (2006 and later). The KPro requires a donor RSX ECU and several engine parts and sensors (including the valve cover). If anyone has a magic way to use the FlashPro with a pre-DBW car we'd all appreciate the details.
