Aaargh! Parking tw*nts
So, returned to my car after shopping and discovered that some total idiot had done a number on my driver's side door. Have no idea who, and there were no cameras in the car park.
It's a fairly heavy knock - looks to me like someone has swung their front end round either going into or backing out of the space next to me and has punched the door with their bumper. The bottom edge of the ding has actually split the paint down to the metal.
Any ideas on what this will take to repair, and possible cost? Trying to work out if it's an insurance claim or not. And no, no note, no nothing. Gutted.

Disrespectful w**kers, it's happened to me on previous cars so I know how you must be feeling, would it be easier to get a used un damaged door to save an insurance claim?

That's nasty, it's what I fear most when parking the car somewhere
You'll never get a new door to match the paint so it will always need painting and blending in on the wing, sill and rear quarter.
