Default About to Order new S2000

I am going to buy a new S2000 GT in either Royal Navy Blue Pearl or Deep burgungy (black interior) with VSA. I have told by the dealer that it is a 20 week order time. This is not a real problem, as I would want to register it on an 08 plate in March next year.
Being totally new to the S2000, I have the following questions and would be grateful for any help or advice that you could give:

1) When are the 2008 specs going to be announced?
2) Do any of you have any advanced info on 2008 specs?
3) If I order now, how will I know what the spec will be when the car is delivered next year
4) Who is the best dealer (biggest discount and or knowledgeable) to buy from in the UK?
5) Which of the two colours is likely to have the best resale value?

Why are you buying from a dealer?
Expect to pay

1) NFI
2) Nope Honda are good at keeping shtum but seeing as the car is being shelved in 09 I'd be quite surprised if there are any changes at all
3) You don't. although if you order from Bob Gerard you'll get one sooner I'll fancy.
4) Bob Gerard
5) Both, but I suspect you'll find the RNBP easier to sell on because people don't understand that burgundy is just metallic black . Personally I'd go for Laguna blue which is stunning.

You came here for information?

The 2008 cars have newer, lighter wheels & a few suspension tweaks. Nothing too exciting, but they're said to be worthwhile.

No news on whether or not WE get the Type-S though.

Nick Graves,
Any idea what the 2008 wheels look like?

Maybe do a circular Email to all the dealers? Info. on the HondaUK site.

Unless you want to Premium Interior ie Black/red leather, IMO Bergundy, so near a black, is a class act, and the trade regard black as the new silver.
Plain non-metallic dark blue can look a bit ordinary, perhaps unworthy on such a smart sports car. A fleet buyers favourite as it is usually a budget no extra cost option. I mean no offence to those who like this colour
Otherwise difficult for others to make a judgement of your choice, I'm sure both have equal residual value come re-sale.
My understanding is that the more wacky yellow, orange, lovely though they may be, have a limted appeal and might take longer to sell.

Did you mean Burmuda Blue Boab?

Yes, it's a lovely colour - but I've yet to see this car look offensive wearing any colour.

OP, I'd be tempted to go for the Burgundy of the two colours you state - avoiding the tan interior, mind

That was my original approach, until I found that you've got to pay at least 18k for a good one still within its warranty; then I realised if they hold their value so well, I may as well pay 5k more for one that no-one else has driven. Throw in the probability of second-hand car of this type having had some sort of trauma and it's a no-brainer. Also, to some people, paying for peace of mind makes more sense than trying to economise.
