Mike

In case you weren't aware, Bob Gerard imports European cars but they are UK spec and have a three year Honda warranty. The only difference is the mileage on the warranty which is 60,000 instead of the 90,000 for UK purchased cars.

If I ever get back in a new S, I will without question go for one from Bob Gerard. His feedback on here is almost entirely positive, and with new cars from c.

At the end of the day, its a nearly a 10 year old car!
Yes and it still the engineering marvel it was 10 years ago. I've had 2 new ones so far and don't even think about depreciation, as long as i have fun in it thats all that matters.

The styling is looking a bit dated but no one as come close to developing an engine like the F20. IMO it is still at the forefront of engineering.

Don't listen to the people who say 'don't buy from a dealer'. Buy there if you want.

My car is new from a dealer and is my second purchased this way. Anyone who buys from Bob G is likely to lose a similar amount saved when it comes to resale due to the car being an parallel import and not having the same warranty 60k v 90k (UK car).

There is feck all out there used for the same money either and would love to hear what? Especially with the same reliability, performance and security of a comprehensive manufacturers warranty.

However, the car is coming to its end of life and it will (many would argue it already has) begin to depreciate more. However, I would still predict that a new dealer supplied S2000 will be worth 50%+ after 3 years which is excellent.

As for your questions:

1) When are the 2008 specs going to be announced? ---------- Doubt there will be any changes, but if there are in the next few weeks it should be annouced if there are any.
2) Do any of you have any advanced info on 2008 specs? ------As above
3) If I order now, how will I know what the spec will be when the car is delivered next year --------------speak to your dealer
4) Who is the best dealer (biggest discount and or knowledgeable) to buy from in the UK? --------------- franchise dependent, expect a max discount of 5% (the margin is 6.5% for the dealer)
5) Which of the two colours is likely to have the best resale value? ---------- The boring ones usually, but I would say grey or black

Precisely what came into my mind when I began to stray towards Zuffenhausen! That, and the niggling doubt that the Porsche badge would invite all sorts of unwelcome interest. Not that I've avoided that in the S2000 lately.

I sat myself down, reminded myself what a corker the S2000 was and swiftly handed over the cash to BG.

Each to their own though. That's what let's us take the proverbial out of Porxster drivers! Just joking. Its a fine car.
