Dremmel Tool : £45
Tungsten Carbite Grinding bit : £12
New bolts : £1.26
Having a silent roof : Priceless

Took me 20 minutes and worked a treat.

thanks you brother from the same car mother, just did mines. with the exception of bolt i use the most common bolt you could find on any Honda.But in all it works thanks for helping me save a few dollars.

Just a quick question. I am thinking of doing this for the noise reduction. Does it really make that much of a difference?

i never got around to doing this as i dont have a dremmel or a cutter - is there another way of making the holes ?

I just use a 3/16 drill bit with a little applied pressure I extended the holes.

Thanks to P-CarDriver and Shopman. This mod is one I need to do. Glad to know the size of the bolts (6mm machine screws 25mm in length). If it doesn't work well enough, I'll try Shopman's idea. Both are great ideas.
