Thanks for all the advice guys!

I am used to driving a 320i in the crappy weather, but I also appreciate that's a slightly different proposition! Problem with a TT is that it's a bit of a trendy mobile & I want something that not only handles/goes better, but is also more exclusive!
I currently drive an Alfa 147, which goes ok, but now my wife has an MPV for the kids & weekends, I REALLY am desperate to get a new toy (bikes & diving have gone by the wayside!).
I'll have to check the insurance, but the fuel wont be too bad as I only get 22mpg out of the 147.

Thanks again!

Well the S2000 sure does have exclusivity going for it I'm getting about 29 mpg on my daily driving which I think is superb for a car capable of this kind of performance...

You mean, if it snows you're not going to drive it at all?

I see people still aren't convinced. In 1" of snow, this car is undriveable on SO2's.

Believe me... when i first got mine back in March it snowed within a few weeks... I had no choice but to drive my car to work and I lost it several times just doing 10 mph around a corner narrowly missing a lamppost and two parked cars
Im not looking forwards to driving in snow this year !!
Ive even contemplated getting a cheap car like a secondhand fiesta just to navigate the snowy county roads.

just idea - getting a spare set of rears with some big nobbly bits on the tread might be cheaper than a 2nd car?

And a great reason for buying some Mugen or Spoon rims

The thought had crossed my mind (....yes dear, the rims have always had 6 spokes and a little BBS badge...)
