Default Aftermarket Warranty

Hi Folks,

I have been lurking around this board as a interested bystander for a week or two now but have now (literally hours ago) joined the world of S2000 ownership.....mighty impressed so far!

My question is, do any of the members have an aftermarket warranty (from Warranty direct etc?). I have just spent the best part of 15k on an 53 plate(20k) and am considering some protection from mechanical failure (not that I think it likely, but you never know!).

Thoughts most appreciated.

Should also say I had a warramty quote (transmission & engine)

Dont waste your time or money, they are not worth the paper they are written on. Every claim they get out of somehow. Trust me, i know!!

You are better off putting money aside each month into a car emergency fund.

Fact.

Stand by for the next few pages of good and bad dealings with any form of warranty company.

In the meantime if you want to know how they all work pm me a contact number and I will provide you with impartial advise of third party warranty providors.

The one thing I will say in the Honda warranty favour is that it is very cheap compared to other manufacturers and offers a reasonable amount of peace of mind for relatively little cash. Buy a 3 year and it works out less than

Because the OP was after peoples experience of after-market warranties and I know alot about them - perhaps more than many people on this forum.
