Default Air box clips.

Whilst on a weekend run I removed the airbox lid, when I went to refit for a quieter run home I found the front two clips had vanished(fell oot). Well I called my local parts and they were no help at all , anyone else had this problem and got new clips and can help with a part number and price. Ta. Should taped them in place but never heard of this before.

That'll learn ya!

Weird though. Not heard about losing these things before. I do it regularly and mine are, I think, all in place.

Part number 17217-P2J-300.

Might help you get a better result from the parts place.

I lost 2 as well. Depending on which one though I found them a few times before finally losing them. The channel section to the side of the air box is a good catch net. I've found a few things on there i've forgot about!

Are there any alternatives to the OEM clips? They are absolutely ridiculously priced at almost £8 per clip!!! It's a bloody clip, not a new limb!

I've lost all but 2 clips now so the lid is a little loose on mine and would like to ensure it's secured down for when I am running with the lid on. I've tried ebay etc but can't really find anything - I really can't believe these clips are that special..

The clips aren't just specific to Honda but the S2000, hence the price. you can get away with 2 missing just "redistribute" the others.

Or take one to a local metal fabricator, and have some made up from spring steel(I feel a group buy coming on).

Champion only has 2 remaining, not 2 missing.
