Default Aircon cant handle this humidity

Got into the car this morning started the engine whilst I wiped the windows. Put the aircon on as it is SOooo humid and steam came out the vents . Ten seconds later that died away. Five minutes down the road and the windows are starting to mist up, on the outside . What a start to a damp day.

check to see that your drain hoses aren't blocked.
This was a classic with XJs 's that would start with the windows misting up and finsh with water pouring out of the air vents.

I don't have a CD manual but there will be drain hoses going from the condensor out the bottom of the car.

Didn't really think there was a problem, spoken with my boss and he recons this is normal as the aircon is freezing the water in the vents. It goes away pretty quickly and the mist on the outside of the windows I guess is caused by a chilled windscreen.

I'd be curiouse thogh if anybody else has experienced this, C7BLE I do have the manual so i will check the hoses just incase. Only problem is thr frelling software only works on a PC.

I missed the mist on the outside bit. I thought you said they were misting on the inside which shouldn't happen with the aircon no matter how humid it is.

Sorry for crying

if the condensation is on the outside, then there is nothing wrong with the drain hoses. the windows just getting so cold that the humidity is condensing on it. the steam in side is the humidity in the air condensing on the cold air coming out of the vents.

Mine did the same this morning, I dont think there is a problem, I just took the blower off of the windscreen and used another settling, fixed no problem .

That happens with the Civic, too.

That car seems to mist up very easily, so one must frequently run the A/C.

I think the air is the heater ducting tends to remain warm & damp overnight, until it is displaced by the conditioned air. This "first" lot of air hits the cool glass of the screen, hence instant misting. The dried, cold air then rapidliy absorbs the moisture, so the screen then clears quickly and it's business as usual.
