Alarm troubles
I know i shouldnt just ask, and should search but im in the middle of finishing my dissertation for tomorrow and am having car problems.
last night i locked my car (using the key fob) and then came in the house, dropped my keys on the kitchen floor from my pocket (so about 3ft) and now the fob doesnt seem to work, and the alarm and immobilizer are on.
Im going to try a new battery in the fob and see if that makes a difference, if it doesnt is there any known cure for this?
my car is a MY00
standard alarm with 2 buttons
only have one key and one fob.
thanks.

Try the battery for the fob first.
If not it could be the car battery is weak.
Cold weather could be the problem.

The worst thing you could have done would be to damage the fob when you dropped it. You'd just have to replace it by the manufacturer. Pain in the arse when you are doing dissertation!
