Default Backyard Special seat rail

Hi all, just thought I'd share that I've installed a BYS lowered seat rail - not managed to get out for a drive yet but sitting in the garage it certainly feels like a noticeable difference. Also put in some Karo mats I got shipped over at the same time via Nengun.

Looks good mate. How did you find the process with Nengun? I have recently purchased a PCI seat rail to fit a Recaro Pole Position. Looking forward to replacing my existing BuddyClub rail.

I’m 6ft 5’’ and fitted my BYS seat rail a few years ago; wouldn’t go back, makes a really positive difference in my opinion!

I'm only 5ft 6 but have always thought the standard seating position is a bit high. Definitely seems a worthwhile amount of lowering, although salty roads and tier 4 are stopping me getting out for a drive so far...

Installation wasnt too difficult, I used Google translate on the instructions that came with it as well as a helpful thread on here. The only difference I could see with mine was that there were three separate plugs into the seat. I guessed one was the seatbelt light, another the airbag sensor, but couldn't work out what the third was. I just plugged them all back in and ziptied them so they were tucked up under the seat, away from the stock location where they would've fouled the floor I think. It definitely hits the stock carpet moving the seat back, but is fine where I want it, and also hits the Karo mats moving forward but again not an issue for me.

I'd not used them before, but Nengun were great. They sourced the mats for me (good email comms) and the shipping was exactly on their time estimate.

Goodness you're a delight. Please go back to wherever you came from.

Quality is very good, fit seemed a little on the large side but I think they just need to settle in place because the sisal is quite stiff. I think once they're moulded to the contours better they'll be perfect.
