Default To all those with aftermarket exhausts

I'm going to put an aftermarket exhaust on the car come springtime. I have a vauge memory of reading somewhere that you are supposed to break it in (i e drive the car very gently) for a while when the exhaust is new. Is this correct

If so what are the recommendations? What will happen if you dont?

Any input appreciated.

Cheers!

I recently got the HKS silent hi-per, the sound did quieten down especially the drowning around 3k rpm which after about 800miles is almost gone.

I've had the Mugen exhaust in it's box on my living room floor for a couple of months now. Just waiting for the snow to melt away...

Never needed to drive any differently when a new exhaust is on. You might find you DO drive differently to hear the noise more, but that's a different matter
