Right - bigger aerial fixes it.

Reception on all channels - no hiss and buzz. So either the OEM aerial is weak, radio tuner is picky or a combination of the two assuming your reception amplifier under the rear wing isn't shot.

Thinking on from this ...

I have fitted a standard VW Beesting aerial that people who have VWS try and swap for a stubby inferior Honda one that needed an amplifier to work properly in the first place .... which basically means i've theft proofed mine and improved the radio reception whilst keeping a superior radio?

Excellent

When I looked around for a head unit with DAB I found none of them had the ipod connectivity I required to be able to have the entire DM back catalogue at my finger tips. A real deal breaker for me!

That looks okay. The reception on my JVC head unit is next to useless for anything except radio 2, and that's pretty patchy.

It's the same thread as was on my Leon ... direct fit. Heck you'd probably get a 'Dub nut to swap for free, all it will cost you is a trip to Mcdonalds on a Friday / Saturday night

Hmmm, sounds appealing. All the ones I see on Ebay seem to have a wire wrapped around them. What car is that aerial from please?
