So, just to be clear, was the OEM aerial amplifier bypassed when you undertook your radio test this afternoon?

Looks like a cheap fix

No - everything is connected as normal the only thing i changed was the aerial.

It is 16" or 40cm in length.

Hmmmm, so it sounds like the first ebay aerial may be suitable (just an inch shorter) and is cheap too.

Cheap enough to be worth a punt? Compared to what Honda charge for an OEM one ... i'd be happy enough to try it? FWIW I got NO reception at all with the OEM one or the Citroen C2 stubby I replaced it with.

mines terrible aswell. just put it down to Honda not wanting you to listen to rhianna - only girl in the world & bruno mars - grenade a million times a day !

i've just bought the aerial off ebay - hopefully I will get a chance to fit it before I drive down to Crawley on Saturday (which should be a good test).
