Default Alpine IDA-X305S with full Bluetooth/Ipod

Hello Folks,

Whilst I'm reluctant to remove the OEM head unit (wanted to keep the originality) I'm looking to up-grade the stereo to accomodate an IPOD and full bluetooth phone connectivity.

ATM I've got my eye on the Alpine IDA-X305S.

Been into Pulse at Hadleigh/Essex, who assure me they can fit this together with an ipod connection in the 'secret compartment', a discretely hidden mic, and keep the dashboard controls working.

Have any mbrs got this head unit/set up, and if so, what are your opinions (good, bad, or indifferent).

Also; have any mbrs had any work carried out by Pulse Car Audio in Hadleigh, Essex ?

Any opinions/thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Plenty of people have this setup, so it should all be fine. It's not a particularly difficult installation, so I'm sure the audio place will be able to do a decent job. I'd suggest getting some better speakers installed at the same time though.

If you want some peace of mind, Impulse in Watford have done loads of S2000s, including mine, so have plenty of experience - will match internet pricing on products too. http://www.impulsecar.co.uk/

Nokia 6500 classic candybar. Good solid phone but battery not great.

Ah OK.

Just wanted to warn you if you had an iPhone that the bluetooth connectivity is pants. With a Nokia it should be solid.
