This Alpine unit with the Modifry DCI?
Hi all,
I've been offered a fairly good deal on the HU (below)
The exact model doesn't come up on the Modifry website so just wanted to see if anyone else had it and if they can confirm that it works ok with the DCI
Thanks in advance and apologies for adding yet another ICE related question to the forum.
Dan

It's all pretty generic so should be fine.
I originally had the CDA-9812RB then replaced with the iDA-X001 and my DCI worked with both.
Otherwise email Bob (Modifry) and he'll confirm.
Make sure you get his Plug-n-Play harness too which connects the stock harness to the DCI to the HU in one hit. It avoids any splicing and makes the install very straight forward.

only reason id want the new x300 unti is for the album art
Lovegroova - Alpine HU's iDA-X001, iDA-X100 & iDA-X300. The first two show the album art if it's loaded onto your iPod. It's v but also kinda pointless if you keep the radio door shut!

I got my ida-X100 last weekend.
Great head unit, if a bit slow to scroll through artists - nowhere near as fast as the iPod itself but live-able with.
Album artwork only displays if you use the USB cable. Same with fast scrolling through the alphabet. Sadly I only realised that _after_ i'd installed and put the car back together.

Thanks for the info guys. I dropped Bob an email and he confirmed that the DCI will work no problem.
Next question...
Could someone please point em in the direction of an ICE install FAQ?
Thanks again,
Dan
