Anyone changed ap1 to ap2 rear lights?

I've done this.
You'll need to create a pair of small brackets to hold the lights in place.
Some photos to give you an idea
I've also got an UK light, and an USA light so I get 2 reversing lights, and the fog light is under the bumper.

Yeah suppose it's a matter of opinion, I prefer the ap1 rear bumper but the ap2 tail lights
slightly concerned about fogging up but from what I've read it happens when the foam gasket isn't seated correctly. Think I'll just use silicone between the body and gasket and light and gasket and hope it doesn't happen.

Did you find where water was entering your lights? As they're brand new or were surely it's got to be a fitment issue with the gasket?
Where did you apply the silicon?
Found this - makes logical sense, I presume from reading this you could run clear silicon around the tail light where the glass meets the plastic and effectively create a 100% seal!
Quote:
the 04 tail light is not a sealed unit by itself, but went its installed in the 04 the body and gasket seal it. But the 00-03 body does not fit the tail light correctly so there fore it is very hard to seal the light 100% I played with mine but once and awhile it does fog, not much you can do with it. But it worth it! Cause those tail light make the car!
