Default Anyone near Nottingham with an OBD reader?

Hi all,

Mrs B has a 2008 car which has just thrown on the engine management light.
its on solid and there is no secondary light like I saw on her 2005 car so I've no idea what the issue is.

It drives OK but I've sent her off in my car just to be on the safe side. So now I need a reader to fathom the fault, or it will have to to Honda to diagnose.
Does anyone locally have a reader or can anyone advise one i can buy which works well with the S2000

thanks for your help
IanB

The Torque App on Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...owl.torquefree and a cheap bluetooth reader from Amazon or Ebay is the way to go. There are plenty of options for i-things as well.

Search amazon for "bluetooth obd2" to see some options.

There was an iPhone app called Revs that does the same job - although you'll need to get a WiFi ELM 327 dongle owning to the iPhones not having the bluetooth ( not an iThing user so my info might be a bit out of date/inaccurate)

Thanks for the info BenRNBP
I couldn't find Revs in the Apps Store but I did find a great recommendation in the thread below for an app called DashCommand which I will download onto an old iPhone4S I have somewhere
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...-data-1090773/

because I've also read in the last couple of days about the issues with Bluetooth and iPhones I've ordered a WiFi reader specifically compatible with iOS from Amazon
This one;
Stoga ELM327 WIFI Wireless OBD2 OBDII Car Auto Diagnostic Scanner Adapter Reader for iPhone4S/5 iPad4 iPad mini iOS PC by Stoga

Not a particularly quick diagnosis or resolution, but lets see what the weekend brings when I have everything.

I used the same one with an iOS app called EngineLink. Did the job nicely for diagnosing and resetting error codes as well as viewing other parameters on the car.

Thanks CynicG, thats a bit cheaper than DashCommand and seeing as this is my wifes car none of the fancy functions will ever be used beyond scanning and resetting error codes, so I might give the cheaper Enginelink a go.
The dongle arrived today so I'm going to have a play with this tonight.

An update:
the OBD port in the car is above the net on the passenger side (2008 car)
Unit is plugged in and working
iPad connected to it using wifi

but sadly that's it. EngineLink won't connect and I can't fathom why.
What IP address should I be putting into the first screen? I'm using the one found when I click on the 'i' next to the wifi link for the box.
The idiot guide on the cd is no use at all.
