Default Anyone painted their brake calipers?

I am thinking of painting my bake calipers - when my car arrives that is

I have searched but cannot see any UK experience of trying this. The USA experience seems a bit mixed with words like "peeling" and "bubbling".

Anyone tried? Any pointers to good and less good paints?

Anyone gone for powdercoating?

Did you grind the calipers smooth first?

Its great being able to fill the weeks of waiting with projects like this!

I am going to do mine too and was going to post yesterday asking about it. I have searched the forum and yes mostly yank stuff about it here. I cant decide between red and silver to paint mine.

Did mine with normal Hammerite. No problems with peeling or bubbling, and I've done 2 track days since painting them - though not sure if they'd stand up to a day with Don Palmer! You can get heat proof/resistant Hammerite, but it only comes in black.

Didn't grind/rub down the calipers - just painted them. I did take some photo's when I first did them, but can't find them. I've put my car to bed now, but will try and get a couple of photo's during the week if you want.

Good to see some one else is keeping themselves busy with S related Bull$**t.

Ordered myself a carbon fibre tax disc holder yesterday

But that darn garage thing is worrying me now

Any news about delivery?

Have you asked your/any dealers?

Mine said that they had painted calipers for several customers, although I don't know what paint they used. Sounded like it was no big deal for the dealer to do.

I've thought about doing this but I think they are particularly ugly calipers.

Brembo's etc look fantastic but I'm not sure I want to draw attention to mine !

Pity..
