Anyone replaced the whole Air Con?

I know many have removed it (and if anyone has the bits from an 08/09 car, let me know!

BUT has anyone replaced the whole system? My mechanic is in the process of doing mine, and we are wondering if we need to replace everything (there is shard in the system, and it could have gone through all the pipes) want to avoid doing it cheap and twice...

Could add an orifice inline filter

I have a used air con compressor from my 08 plate in a box in my garage, the part was replaced at great expense earlier this year. It would need refurbing however if you want it, it’s yours.
